Spokesman of the House, Hon. Akin Rotimi, who confirmed the incident, said the death was announced on the lawmakers’ platform this morning.
He said an official statement from the House of Representatives on the sad incident will come later.
Danbuga reportedly died around 12:30 am on Wednesday after a brief illness.
Danbuga was said to have taken ill on Tuesday and was admitted in an undisclosed hospital for treatment
The remains of the fallen federal lawmaker have been taken to Sokoto for burial, according to Islamic rites.
